Precision Percussion is a Melbourne based funny, funky pit crew playing precise industrial percussion on a variety of auto parts mounted on a transport trolley.
Clad in hats, ear muffs & radiant orange overalls Precision Percussion play objects which include Brake drums, Bell housings, Plastic barrels, Metal Hub caps, LP Gas cylinder (Empty), Wheel rims, Chrome Grills just to name a few.
The intention of Precision Percussion is to satirise the race pit crews going about their duties outside of race times, where they push around trolleys laden with spare tyres & parts.
Precision Percussion move through the grounds, playing a variety of musical styles they interact with the audience
in the form of verbal banter & coaxing them to dance in celebration of the teams last race win.
Precision Percussion consists of some of Australia's finest percussionists/street theatre performers. They are all members of BATACUDA a Melbourne theatrical percussion ensemble that have performed extensively locally & internationally.
Precision Percussion is suitable for motor sport events, festivals, community events or where ever petrol heads gather to celebrate.
